Portland Voice is a new non-profit newsroom that hope to promote and protect high quality investigative journalism in Portland Ore. Portland Voice, models itself after organizations like The Voice of San Diego, the Texas Tribune, ProPublica and a host of other new non-profit investigative agencies that have cropped up around the country to meet the growing lack of professional objective news content in our nation's airwaves and political discourse. But unlike these groups we hope to ad more than just great journalism to our civic life. We aim to include you, the publicly and civic minded citizens of Oregon and Southwest Washington into the news making process.
